About Holy Rummy
Learn about Holy Rummy, who we are, our editorial standards, how we keep every Holy Rummy guide accurate and up to date, and how to reach the team behind this site.
What this site is, and what it is not
Holy Rummy is an independent guide and review hub covering the real-money 13-card Indian Rummy game. We are not the operator whose platform we write about. We do not own or run it, we hold no player accounts on behalf of readers, we collect zero deposits, and we process no withdrawals or payouts. Every rupee you stake, every UPI transfer you initiate, and every winning that lands in your bank account moves solely between you and the licensed partner platform, Holy Rummy is not in that chain at any point.
What we are is a team that plays the same cash tables our readers play, deposits via the same UPI apps, requests withdrawals, and watches ₹ land in the same bank accounts. We then write up exactly what we find, with specifics and dates, so that players approaching the platform for the first time have a grounded picture of how it works before they add a single paisa to their balance. When we say a ₹500 withdrawal cleared in four hours, that figure comes from a real transaction initiated from a KYC-verified account, not from an operator FAQ page.
Our editorial scope is deliberately narrow: the 13-card Rummy format (pure sequences, impure sequences, valid sets, and the declare procedure), the cash-game table structures available on the partner platform (points Rummy, 101-pool, 201-pool, and deals Rummy), and the financial mechanics that govern the money side of play (UPI deposit flows, minimum and maximum deposit amounts, KYC document requirements, withdrawal processing windows, TDS deduction thresholds under Indian tax law, and real payout timing as experienced by a player with a standard savings account at a major Indian bank).
Where those facts change, and they do, quietly, without press releases, we update our guides. Where operator claims do not match player experience, we say so plainly. A guide that merely echoes marketing copy is not a guide; it is an advertisement.
We are also clear about the nature of the game itself. Indian Rummy is a skill-based card game played for real money under a recognised legal framework in most Indian states, but "skill-based" does not mean "risk-free." You can and will lose sessions. Variance is real. A player who understands card probability and discarding strategy will outperform one who does not over a long sample, but a single session of points Rummy at ₹5 per point can produce a significant loss in minutes if the cards run badly and decisions are poor.
We state that clearly rather than treating it as a footnote, because responsible play starts with an accurate picture of what you are sitting down to do.
Our team
Every member of the Holy Rummy editorial team is India-based and plays real-money Rummy with live ₹ stakes on the same partner platform this site covers. That is not a marketing line, it is the working method that makes accurate reporting possible. Our writers deposit using PhonePe, GPay, BHIM UPI, and direct bank UPI IDs across different bank stacks (SBI, HDFC, ICICI, Axis, and Kotak Mahindra among them), because UPI success rates are not uniform across all issuing banks and knowing which combinations cause friction is genuinely useful information for readers.
Our core contributors hold KYC-verified accounts on the partner platform, completed using Aadhaar OTP verification and PAN card submission, the standard two-document process required for withdrawals above ₹10,000. Between them they have played hundreds of live sessions across the full range of formats: points tables at ₹0.10, ₹0.50, ₹1, ₹2, ₹5, and ₹10 per point; 101-pool and 201-pool cash tables; and multi-deal games at fixed entry fees. That breadth matters because the experience of a ₹10-per-point cash table is materially different from a ₹1-per-point table, opponent aggression is higher, the cost of holding a high-value card like an ace when an opponent declares is immediately felt in ₹ terms, and the decision calculus around dropping on the first turn is different when each point costs ten times as much.
On the payment side, our team members have initiated withdrawals ranging from ₹200 (a common minimum on Indian Rummy platforms) to amounts in the low five figures, and we track processing times systematically. A ₹500 withdrawal requested at 2 PM on a weekday consistently processes faster than an equivalent request made late on a Sunday evening, when bank NEFT/IMPS batch windows and reduced customer-verification staffing at the operator's end both contribute to longer queues. We publish those nuances because a player who knows to expect a six-hour window on a Sunday night will not spend that time raising a unnecessary support ticket.
Our editorial process has two fixed steps before any factual claim is published. First, every number, deposit minimums, withdrawal fees, UPI app compatibility, payout windows, points-penalty values for a wrong declare, the percentage TDS deducted on net winnings above the ₹10,000 threshold, must be verified against a live test transaction or a dated screenshot from a real account before it goes into copy. We do not accept operator-provided figures without independent confirmation, because operators update these terms without version-controlling the changes and the help-centre page you read today may reflect a policy that changed last Tuesday.
Second, every guide goes through a separate editorial check by a team member who was not the original writer, with an explicit brief to challenge any number that looks stale or inconsistent with their own recent platform experience.
We run fresh test transactions at minimum once per month on every section of the platform covered by our guides: deposit flow, withdrawal flow, table-join and buy-in process, and declare validation. We also run ad-hoc tests immediately when a reader contacts us to report that a figure has changed. The date of last verification appears on each guide so readers can judge for themselves how current the information is, a guide last verified in March should be read with more caution in August than one verified in the current month, and we think readers are entitled to make that call with full information.
We have no affiliation arrangement that prevents us from reporting negatively about the partner platform. If a UPI deposit method fails consistently with a specific bank, HDFC's UPI stack has historically caused intermittent failures on several Indian gaming platforms during high-traffic periods, we publish the workaround alongside the failure. If withdrawal processing times lengthen during Diwali or IPL season when transaction volumes across the Indian payments system spike, we flag that seasonal pattern so players can plan accordingly. Our usefulness to readers depends entirely on that independence holding, and we intend to keep it.

The most useful contribution any reader can make to this guide is telling us when something we have published no longer matches what they encounter on the platform. Rummy platform policies, particularly around UPI deposit limits, withdrawal processing fees, the list of accepted KYC documents, and TDS deduction thresholds, change without public announcement. A guide that was accurate in March can quietly mislead someone in August, and reader reports are typically the first signal we receive that an update is needed. We take those reports seriously and act on them quickly.
Reach the Holy Rummy editorial team at [email protected]. We aim to respond to all editorial correspondence within 48 hours on working days (Monday through Saturday, excluding national public holidays).
If you are writing to us about a payment discrepancy, a UPI deposit via PhonePe or GPay that debited your bank account but did not credit your game wallet, a BHIM UPI transfer showing "pending" beyond the stated processing window, a withdrawal stuck in "processing" for longer than the timeframe our guide describes, or a KYC document rejected without a clear reason, please include the following in your message: the approximate date and time of the transaction, the UPI app you used (PhonePe, GPay, Paytm, BHIM, or a direct bank UPI ID such as yourvpa@oksbi or yourvpa@idfcbank), the ₹ amount involved, and the bank your UPI ID is linked to.
That context allows us to determine whether your experience is an isolated technical failure or a pattern affecting enough players to warrant a published correction or advisory note in our payments guide.
If you are writing to correct our Rummy rules content, how a pure sequence is defined, whether a printed joker can substitute in a pure sequence, how points penalties are calculated when a player declares with an invalid hand, or the drop values for a first drop versus a middle drop in pool Rummy, a brief description of the discrepancy is sufficient. We verify all rule corrections against the official game rules as implemented on the partner platform before making any change, so we may follow up to understand the precise scenario where the confusion arose, particularly since points Rummy, pool Rummy, and deals Rummy each have their own scoring and drop-penalty structures that do not always map neatly onto each other.
We are not in a position to handle player account disputes, deposit refund requests, or formal complaints against the operator. We are an independent guide with no access to account data, transaction records, or operator back-end systems. Those matters must go to the partner platform's own player-support channel, which we have documented in detail in our platform review, including the fastest-response contact method as we have tested it. We are not an intermediary and we cannot intervene in operator-side issues, but we can point you to the right place if our review does not already make that clear.
